The bread is key though as I would never get to the number of blocks I need to eat per meal.

Thanks Michele!Rory Hanlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02340008148820364201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7494964257918142100.post-38853167465828255542008-07-28T18:40:00.000-07:002008-07-28T18:40:00.000-07:00Rory-How many blocks per day are you at? There will come a point (especially with men because they have higher blocks) when you just can't eat enough fruits or veggies to meet your needs. At that point you should be adding in some higher GI foods to balance out your blocks per meal. Make those choices smart one's. Feel free to add in some bread just make it whole grain or pita bread. Hope this helps.michelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13682875927286462172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7494964257918142100.post-38528243369891430722008-07-28T17:29:00.000-07:002008-07-28T17:29:00.000-07:00I started to seriously zone about 3 weeks ago and ...I started to seriously zone about 3 weeks ago and I am having a problem eating the required amount of carbohydrates each meal. I have to eat about 6 blocks of carbs per meal (five meals a day) And I cannot physically eat that much green vegetables, so I have to resort to eating higher GI foods like bread. My protein intake is easier because I supplement.

My question is this: is it better to try to stay in the zone even with non-top quality carbs, or to fall out of the zone and not eat the higher GI foods.

Thanks!

RoryRory Hanlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02340008148820364201noreply@blogger.com
