Zone Chili

There are a lot of different Zone chili recipes out there. Use whichever one sounds good to you. I add cheese on this for the fat in order to balance. Using ground turkey will allow to have a bigger serving size.
Zone Chili: 1 lb ground turkey; 1 can tomato sauce; 1 can diced tomatoes; 1 can pinto beans drained ; 1 can kidney beans drained; chili seasoning. Cook ground turkey in pot and add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for about an hour.

Hi there,

I recently started on the Zone and worked with Shari to put together a weekly plan and schedule. So far so good. I'm very grateful to the dinner recipes in here. So far I've made the turkey meatballs twice (YUM) and we had the chicken quesadillas last night. SO good. Trader Joe's only had these small carb lite (or something like that) tortillas so we each had two, a top and bottom. I think they came out to 4g of carb each or something. I hope that was the right thing to do.

So far my biggest thing to overcome is only being allowed a small amount of wine at night. Sigh. I miss the big glass. :)

Anyway, so glad this blog is here and I'm looking forward to making this chili. yum yum.

Cheers,
Neile

Neile-
So glad to hear that you are getting set up! You can find the carb balance tortillas at Safeway. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out!
